QA Developer (English Version)

Location: Amstelveen/ Hybrid | Dutch and English speaking

What are you going to do?
As a QA Developer you ensure that bugs are prevented and that our customer gets the best user experience. Together with the team you ensure that our test platform (and scripts) are ready for our new Headless Commerce Platform. This concerns both the development and management of the current website, but also the development of a new Headless Commerce Platform to keep our website future-proof.

Your main tasks
• Monitor the quality and ensure the responsiveness of the Webshop services and interfaces
• Maintain and implement regression tests
• Advising management on the use of automated test tools within the testing process and on the quality and risks of delivered software and systems
• Initiate improvement proposals related to automated test execution and ensure the integration of automated test execution within the test process
• Contribute in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Writing well-designed, thoughtful, testable and efficient code
• Ensure compliance with Security and Performance benchmarks
• Take care of and maintain consistent documentation
• Proactive role/contribution in code reviews, technical discussions and refinements
Within the IT department there is a real DevOps culture and the E-Commerce team is a frontrunner in this and tries to implement continuous improvements. Your technical knowledge
• You have experience with TMap or ISTQB, Cypress/Mocha's/Chai testing, test automation, Java, Agile and DevOps facets. But also with large (large scale) projects/platforms and the E-Commerce sector, it is an advantage if you have experience in webshops and the "behind the scenes” processes and setup.
• You are familiar with QA test processes such as web and cross browser testing and the ability to write strong test scenarios and you have relevant knowledge of current development standards and visions/tools in the direction of Continuous delivery.
• You have knowledge of SOAP/REST/WSDL/API testing, you are ready to embrace and work with topics such as CI/CD, Code Quality, Code Review and Continuous Improvements, you also have hands-on knowledge of bug and feature tracking systems.
